Construction on the 2011 Coastal Living House made headway after the 2010 Holidays. Construction began in the cold, & winter graced us with snow, over 2 feet of snow drifts had piled up on the building site.
Despite the unusually harsh Virginia weather, the first two floors are framed and the stunning viewsof the Chesapeake Bay can be seen from future windows.
Simpson Builders Inc, is the construction manager on this project & has been buildingbeautifully detailed homes in East Beach since 2004.(Howard Simpson can be seen shoveling snow in the slideshow above)
This magnificent Coastal Living house was designed by Steve Mouzon, a leading new urbanist architect based in Miami, FL. Steve is also blogging about the project on his website, http://www.mouzon.com/MDZ/Home.html
The house is on schedule to be turned over to Coastal Living Photographers June 13th.
